"I've got the broken leg and he's got a finger missing, so we're a great couple"
In Yamaha's recent Spies & Lawson clips, the Champions talk about how "violent" the 500 GP bikes were, and Lawson says the bikes were "crap". Well, Soup faithful, here's a little "background material" to illustrate Eddie's point, with a little period commentary from the man himself, about....crashing.
Shot in the early 90's, when 500cc two stroke v-fours regularly high- sided riders to competitive Olympic pole vaulting heights, Wayne Gardner and the late Barry Sheene trade mullets and larfs while a cast of thousands fly through the air with the greatest of ease.
Best of all, Eddie Lawson just about laughs the whole way through his commentary. Enjoy.
